fathersday cards.

a couple of fathers day cards i designed for a class. the aim was to use all those unused stickers we all collected at some stage when we started scrapping.
the first card shows how to effectively get rid of that ugly halo around the stickers and then dress them up with a layer of stickles to give them a bit of a modern look and feel. a painted stroke with tombow pens adds a shadow for that artistic touch.

matting and distress edges gives a nice rough look for dad.

the second card uses some glitzers stickers. Layer and combine a bunch of stickers together for impact. keep things tight and close together. Matt some of the stickers onto white card stock and punch them out or cut around them and then ink the edges.

a few scattered diamantes can also work for dad so go on and make his day sparkle with love.

tips for dressing up your stickers:
1. Add some glitter glue to make then shine.
2. Matt them onto contrasting card stock.
3. Distress the edges with an edge distresser.
4. Ink the edges of your stickers with dye ink pads.
5. Raise your stickers for dimension.
6. Group stickers close together for impact.
7. Add diamantes and pearls to stickers.
8. Punch out parts of stickers and use on bits and pieces of them on a card.
9. Print your own sentiments to match your stickers.
10. Cut away those ugly halo's around stickers.
