DIY Birthday | Golden Birthday Celebrations Part 2

9:11:00 PM

We continue our birthday celebrations with a gold theme. With birthdays there are so many things to make and create that will make a celebration really special.
As part of the celebrations we want a menu to showcase a selection of delicious dishes. This simple concept can also be used for an invitation and any other stationery you are creating for your celebrations
step 1 - Print a simple design onto textured white cardstock. I changed my design from black to a golden yellow. Fold the card in half, then use a small paint brush and Venus Gold All Purpose Ink to splatter some small gold dots onto the front of the card.
Last time I shared my straw holder, and this week we continue with the same simple concept but this time for a drinking bottle.
step 2 - Cut the top portion of a gold balloon off.
step 3 - Stretch the bottom part using your hands and pull it over the bottom of small drinking bottles and let go. The balloon stretches over the bottom portion of the bottle creating a beautiful gold dipped look.
step 4 - Die-cut some numbers ‘10’ out of gold foil paper using your Cuttlebug and the number dies from Kaisercraft.
step 5 - Adhere the sticker numbers to the bottom portion of the bottle.
step 6 - Wrap a strip of 6mm double sided tape along the top edge of the bottle. Remove the backing off of the tape and sprinkle with gold glitter. Shake off the excess and return to the container.
Display some beautiful gold straws in the bottles and then pour the drinks once your guests arrive.

Adhere one of your gold star birthday candles to the front of your card using Tombow glue or a hot glue gun. Adhere the die-cut ‘10’ sticker to the left of the candle to further add to the theme.

step 7 - Punch 5mm dots out of your gold foil sticker sheet and sprinkle it around for confetti on your table. I also adhered some of these punched confetti’s to the front of my menu card.
.And so I will keep on creating gold elements for this very, very special birthday celebrations.
